From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. The food was excellent, expertly prepared, and beautifully presented. The menu is seasonal and changes regularly, so we asked our server to recommend some appetizers. We started with a delightful selection of appetizers: dumplings, oysters, stuffed pasta, and Nancy cakes. Each dish was a flavorful adventure, setting the tone for a memorable meal. For my main course, I had the Sole, which was absolutely out of this world. The fish was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Our server was super knowledgeable about the menu and provided impeccable service throughout the meal. Her recommendations were spot on, and her friendly, professional demeanor added to the overall experience. Highly recommended!

First visit to Nancy's Hustle, we arrived at 8:00 PM for our reservations and were seated immediately. The place was packed and had a line waiting, so reservations on a weekend are a must. We need a little guidance from our server Heather, and she was excellent in guiding us through the menu and suggesting items for us try. We started off with the chilled oysters which were nicely marinated and very cold; only 4 oysters per order, so with four of us, they didn't last long. At $17 for 4 oysters, I think we'll save our oyster appetite for the seafood restaurants. Next was the Nancy Cakes, which I understood to be one of their signature dishes and they held up to the reputation. The cakes were light and fluffy with not much flavor until you added the butter laced with chives and roe. Definitely would order this again, but probably isn't enough for 4 to share as there were only four cakes ($19). We also tried the Jimmy Nardello peppers ($12) with tahini vinaigrette. I enjoyed the peppers, but the tahini sauce had too much vinegar. I'm a big fan of tahini, but the vinegar threw it way off. I was expecting something like shishito peppers or Padrón peppers, but the Jardello peppers weren't close, they were long and thin compared to the others. Wouldn't order them again. Since we'd been out since lunch wandering around EaDo, our appetites weren't up for heavy entrees, so we decided to share the Wood Grilled Chicken and an order of fries with aioli. The chicken was moist and tender, but two of us at the table didn't care for the sumac flavor. The chicken got a split vote at our table. I generously gave Nancy's Hustle it four starts (would have given it 3-1/2 if possible) due to the service, ambiance, and most of the dishes. To keep those four starts the next visit will need the selection of dishes to "overwhelm" me.

Oh Nancy's. What a treat you are. The place is super cute inside. Smaller and quaint. We got there right at opening and everyone was piling in. I'd suggest to get there at opening or make a reservation as it filled up quick. Our bartender (I believe he is a Bostonian- don't recall his name) was friendly and attentive. He made some great drinks. We ordered the following Nancy Cakes- absolutely Devine. They were savory and the butter made it sweet. 10/10 Lamb Tartare- it needs some seasoning. It was unique and the texture was fine but it was flavorless. 2/10 Smashed Cucumber Salad- dammit, slap your momma. The flavor and the texture were on point. It's healthy & great. Something you could eat daily and be sated. 1000/1000 This place is definitely a staple and I'd 1000% recommend

I love Nancy's Hustle! I've tried it out a few times a few years ago but hadn't had a chance until recently to visit again. J and I stopped by on a Saturday evening. We regrettably forgot to make a reservation but thankfully were accommodated after only a 15 minute wait. We both opted for cocktails to start off our night and found them light and refreshing. Our server was very helpful in recommending menu items for us to try. We decided on the spiced pork and butter dumplings to start us off. When they came out, we were pleasantly surprised by the rich, creamy taste. We polished them off quickly and waited with excitement for our entrees. The lamb tartare was succulent and delicious. We adored the rich taste of the dish and the combinations of flavors was perfect. Finally, the cheeseburger. I did not find the cheeseburger quite up to par with the unique tastes of the other dishes, but it is also a cheeseburger. I liked the bun used and found the dip for the fries very tasty. All in all, this is a great spot for a date night or casual dinner with friends. The setup of the restaurant is very inviting and cozy, and the food is impeccable. I will definitely be back, though probably for another special occasion due to the price range.

I've wanted to come here for so long, but it's always booked. Pro Tip -- try and snag a 5pm reservation or just stop by at 5pm by chance . I mean, just an overall 5 star experience -- everything was great from the service to the food to the wine. Please get the Nancy Cake, it was one of the stars for me. But the best thing I ate was maybe the cheeseburger, on an English muffin -- whaaaat! I'll be back for sure, enjoy!

Cannot believe it took me this long to finally try Nancy's Hustle! This is a great date night spot or a nice place to catch up with a friend over awesome food. There's also a bar which would be perfect for solo dining. The service is fantastic, our waiter was very helpful and attentive. The menu rotates, so you can try new things every time you come. Everything we tried was excellent. Notables include the croquettes (so crispy and savory, perfect amount of cheese) and the classic Nancy cakes (fluffy and buttery). There's a great cocktail selection and dessert menu as well. There's a small parking lot, but street parking is plentiful. Can't wait to come back to try more items!

I finally had my first dining experience at Nancy's Hustle which exceeded my expectations and I had high hopes. It was a Tuesday night after Mother's Day and the placed was packed, impressive. Although it was a perfect night for the patio, we choice to dine inside. We were encouraged to try the Nancy Cakes as a starter, which is somewhat unique if you're expecting typical bread and butter. The restaurant offers small plates so we ordered several dishes, the Ribeye, Dover Sole, and burgers on English muffins. Each was absolutely outstanding and can't imagine how either could improve.

I was in Pasadena for work and there weren't many fine dining options where I was. I looked to Yelp for help and found Nancy's Hustle in downtown Houston. It was totally worth it! I really enjoyed the Nancy's cakes, the texture of the fluffy pancake and the savory butter with roe and chives went perfectly with them. I ordered the lamb tartare and my coworker had the cheeseburger. The sesame flatbread that came with the tartare was amazing! I can taste how fresh it is. My coworker enjoyed his burger. Service was good. They got pretty busy around 7-8pm. I like the ambiance and decor. A bit dim, probably good for a nice romantic date or outing with friends, but I would've preferred more lighting if they wanted business meeting type customers. I'd feel a little weird if I took a customer here, they might misunderstand and think it's a date . Maybe the restaurant could consider making one side of the place same atmosphere as now and the other side more well-lit? My only disappointment is the cheesecake was a bit odd. They drizzled honey over it and there's cracked black pepper taste on it? I would definitely try a different dessert next time.

The streets keen me hustlin.... Bestie has been talking about this spot ever since Tiny Boxwoods and here we are. Made a reservation a month out, yes I said a month. Small parking lot in the back otherwise be prepared for street parking. It's the new age of dim, candlelight dining. Our server (sorry I forgot his name) was fantastic. He gave us honest suggestions and wasn't trying to upsell us on everything. The order: Nancy's cakes - delicious, light, fluffy Spicy pork and butter dumpling with sauerkraut, yogurt, and dill - listen, wasn't expecting to love this but that's exactly what happened Ricotta and artichoke agnolotti with spring onion and cured olive - this was good and tender Special - whole fish, I don't remember much except the server gave us tips on how to de-bone and my friend rocked it, really nicely cooked, and seasoned - the sauce was zesty Hand cut fries with aioli - crispy af and the aioli was perfection Dessert: olive oil and grapefruit emigres with fennel, brioche, and shaved milk chocolate - don't read into the description, this is life... I would give up a kidney for this bc it was sooo good You have to be adventurous and open and once you are, you won't regret it. It's a wine bar too so tons of wine flowing. We had some mocktails and spritzers because we don't drink much. I will def be back.

Let me start off by saying that I only had a drink this visit, but what an amazing drink it was! They have pisco! They have a beautiful patio space perfect for a warm day. I joined two of my friends towards the end of their dinner, and the restaurant was very accommodating and moved us to a larger table that would fit all of us. Impeccable service. Our server was friendly and kind. My friends raved about the ricotta and artichoke agnolotti. I'll be back to try their pasta another day! Definitely make reservations here. They fill up fast.
